Find inspiration, engage in dialogue with colleagues and learn practical ideas to help incorporate nature-based education into your classroom and school environment.
The Learning Conference includes:
· Tours of preschool and nature center grounds
· Observation time in preschool classrooms
· Exploration of materials and resources
· Two breakout sessions:
o Season’s Hike - Discover the wonders of the season. With the guidance of a Dodge Nature Center naturalist, find out what changes plants and animals are experiencing in our local environment. You’re sure to get inspiration and information you can take away with you.
o Nature’s Curriculum - Dodge Nature Preschool teachers will share their experiences using nature to guide their curriculum and serve as a catalyst for rich learning experiences. Practical ideas will be shared for participants to apply the session’s content to their own context.
The cost is $75 per participant. This fee includes a light breakfast, lunch and materials. Please come prepared to spend time outdoors.
