Dodge Nature Center properties are open for the public to hike and enjoy everyday from sunrise to sunset. If you come to hike the main property during business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., please sign in for a visitor's badge at the Main Office on Marie Ave.
At Dodge, we love animals. However, our K9 visitors tend to do what dogs do: dig, chase, and leave behind 'special gifts.' For these reasons, we ask our guests to leave their furry friends at home when visiting Dodge to help us keep our native wildlife safe, and our woodlands, prairies, and marshlands well-maintained.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
For the safety of our guests, wildlife, and trails, bikes are not allowed on Dodge Nature Center trails.
Cross Country Skiing Policy
Cross country skiing is permitted on the Marie and Lilly property trails during snowy months. While Dodge does not create ski trails, guests are invited (and encouraged) to create their own.
Viewing the Animals
Dodge's farm animals are available for viewing from outside of the pasture fences in the summer. Our outdoor raptor mew near the main office provides an exceptional opportunity to see our birds of prey. Our reptiles and amphibians live in a climate controlled environment, and are not available for public viewing.
Visit the Public Programs section of our website to learn about opportunities to attend programs where you'll be able to see Dodge's animals up close.
