Green Seniors: Honey Bees and Apple Trees

  • Monday, Sept. 19th, 2022
  • 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

This program has been cancelled. Visit the Activities Calendar for more upcoming programs.

The lives of honeybees are closely tied to flowering plants, especially apple trees. Join Dodge naturalist Teresa Root to learn about this complex and interesting relationship. Together, we’ll visit the apple orchard and beehives, then taste the sweet products made by the trees and the bees! This program will include a short hike.

This program welcomes seniors interested in learning more about the natural world. Programs are one hour long and may include some walking. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

Preregistration is required. Registration typically closes the day before the program at 12 p.m. Program fees are final and transfers are not permitted.

COVID-19 Safety

This program will be held mostly indoors, with CDC and MN Department of Health procedures in place. Based on current guidelines and community levels, face masks are optional for all participants and staff. Dodge continues to monitor COVID-19 levels to determine our masking policy.
