Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing)
- Saturday, Nov. 6th, 2021
- 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Registration for this program is closed. Please check the Activities Calendar for more upcoming programs.
Over the course of this walk, participants will be given a series of invitations—suggested ways to connect to their surroundings. The experience will be mostly silent, honor each participant’s personal space, and cover about a mile and-a-half over generally flat surfaces. It is encouraged that you consider going without your mobile cellular devices for the duration, but this is not required and is solely dependent on your comfort level. At the end of each invitation exploration, the group will gather and share a few words. It’s okay if you’d like to pass on sharing—sharing is always optional. The walk will be guided a Certified Guide from Silvae Spiritus Nature & Forest Therapy. “The Forest is the therapist. The Guide opens the doors.”
This program will be held primarily outdoors, with CDC and MN Department of Health procedures in place. Please dress for the weather. Amid the spread of the Delta variant, face masks are required for all participants and staff while indoors, and any outdoor activities where a physical distance of 6 feet cannot be maintained outside of your immediate family group.
