Learn about hibernation through the award-winning children’s book Bear Snores On\, touch a real bear pelt\, take a short hike through the winter woods\, and make your very own sleeping bear craft. \nStories at Shepard Farm invites families to explore the woodlands\, farm\, and animals at Dodge through nature-themed stories and hands-on fun. Each session includes inside storytime\, an outdoor adventure\, and an activity (ranging from art projects to snacks) that connects kids with nature in meaningful ways. \nThis program is designed for ages 2–5 with one caregiver in attendance. All children in this age range are welcome\, though participants will get the most out of the experience if they can walk independently and navigate uneven terrain. \n
