Join Dodge Nature Preschool for a half-day, virtual conference designed to encourage outdoor learning in early childhood! Find inspiration, engage in dialogue with colleagues, and gain practical ideas to help incorporate nature-based education into your classroom and school environment.
Register by Wednesday, April 21.
After registration, participants will be emailed the log-in information and conference schedule. This conference will be approved through Achieve MNCPD for 4 classroom hours.

Introductions and overview of curriculum at Dodge Nature Preschool
1:00-2:15 Naturalist Workshop - “Habitat Hike”
With the guidance of a Dodge Nature Center naturalist, learn about habitats and ecosystems in your own backyard. Time will be included for participants to get out and explore their own “nearby nature” and find out from a naturalist about resources they can use for further exploration.
2:25-2:45 Mini-workshop on “Story Dictation and Story Acting”
2:45-3:45 Focus Group Workshops*
Participants will be asked to sign up for one of the following in advance.
– Gardening & Foraging with Children
– Supporting Whole Body Play in Natural Settings
– Campfires: Cooking & Community
– Birds Outside your Window
*Participants will be given access to view recordings of all four workshops after attending the conference.
3:45-4:10 Networking Session; Q & A with Dodge Nature Preschool teachers
Network and learn from one another in breakout groups.
4:10-4:30 Reflection and Evaluation
Reflect and share key learning from the conference and hear about ways to stay connected to Dodge Nature Center.
