Teacher/Naturalist Volunteer Information Session

  • Wednesday, Sept. 4th, 2024
  • 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Are you interested in assisting with environmental education programs at Dodge? Come see if the Teacher/Naturalist volunteer position is right for you! Led by Naturalist and Volunteer Liaison Mary Dybvig, you’ll learn the ins and outs of engaging students outdoors, and the expectations and benefits of volunteering. No teaching experience required—bring your enthusiasm!

This volunteer position is for adults 18+. Teacher/Naturalist volunteers need to be available weekdays during the school year, year-round. We’re specifically in need of volunteers at our Shepard Farm property in Cottage Grove, but all interest is welcome.

After this session, you’ll decide if you’d like to become an official Teacher/Naturalist volunteer. The next step will be signing up for upcoming volunteer trainings:

  1. Thursday, September 5, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. at the Main Property
Choose one or all of the training sessions:
    Intro to Nature: 9:00–10:00 a.m.
    Trees: 10:30–11:30 a.m.
