Inspire a sense of wonder in your students through a meaningful environmental education experience.
Field trips will be held outdoors, with CDC and MN Department of Health procedures in place. Because of the group setting, face masks are required, and the use of hand sanitizer is encouraged.
We allow exemptions for those who have medical or other health conditions, disabilities or mental health, developmental, or behavioral needs that make it difficult to tolerate wearing a face covering. Please contact us in advance of your field trip if this exemption applies to your student. We will create a plan with you that will ensure the safety of other students and staff while allowing them to participate.
Total Payment is due two weeks prior to your scheduled visit and must be mailed to Dodge Nature Center along with the payment enclosure form or a copy of the invoice. To make a payment by credit card please call 651-789-5215.
If a cancellation is made 30 or more days prior to the program date, you will be assessed a $50 processing fee. If a cancellation is made within 30 days of the scheduled visit, the full program fee must be paid.
Dodge Nature Center does NOT cancel classes due to inclement weather. Staff will modify programs to keep students safe when conditions are severe.
Dodge Nature Center programs include activities that require the participants to be outside and active. Please check the weather forecast and make sure that your group is dressed appropriately for their experience at the nature center. Closed-toe footwear that can handle mud and water is essential. Long pants are also recommended. For winter months participants are encouraged to wear boots, warm coats, hats and mittens. Rain gear is suggested in spring and fall. Additionally, during summer months, please apply bug spray before arriving.
If adjustments in student numbers are necessary, please contact the Schedule Coordinator at email@example.com at least two weeks prior to your scheduled visit. Schools or groups adjusting student numbers less than two weeks prior to their scheduled visit will be charged for the total number of students originally registered, unless the number has increased. It is important to note that it may not be possible to accommodate a large increase in students on short notice. Dodge Nature Center does not give refunds for students that are not able to attend the day of a field trip.
Dodge Nature Center cannot alter the time of your scheduled program and does not reduce fees if your group’s program is shortened due to your late arrival. A group scheduled and confirmed that does not show up will be charged the full program amount.
All pre-arranged or organized groups of 7 or more people (including children) must call in advance to request permission for use of outdoor facilities and spaces. Certain fees may apply. Please call 651-455-4531 to schedule your visit. Dodge Nature Center is a carry-in, carry-out facility. Please keep the grounds clean and free of debris by taking with you what you brought.
Dodge offers an array of educational and entertaining programs for your group’s visit.
