Happy Trails, Jason!

It is with mixed emotions that I share my decision to embark on a new professional endeavor and, as a result, will be leaving my role as Executive Director of Dodge Nature Center and Preschool on April 16, 2025.

After more than two decades at Dodge—first as Director of Volunteers and Special Events and then as Executive Director for the past 15 years—this place and its people have become a second home to me.

Serving this community has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. I am deeply grateful for the support, collaboration, and trust you’ve shown me throughout my time here. The relationships I’ve built and the work we’ve done together to nurture Dodge’s mission will always hold a special place in my heart. From the staff to the board, volunteers, donors, and families, your commitment has been inspiring and uplifting, and I am thankful for each and every one of you.

Together, we have expanded educational programs, strengthened conservation efforts, and secured long-term sustainability to ensure Dodge remains a vital resource for generations to come. None of this would have been possible without your dedication. It has been an honor to lead alongside such a talented group of people, and I have learned so much from each of you.

My departure does not slow Dodge’s momentum—in fact, it’s a testament to the strong foundation we’ve built together. We have accomplished incredible things, and I have no doubt that Dodge will continue to flourish. The need for hands-on nature experiences, land conservation, and environmental education has never been greater. Your support keeps this mission alive. I invite you to make a gift today to ensure that Dodge continues to inspire, educate, and connect people with nature for generations to come.

As I look toward the future, I carry with me the lessons, experiences, and friendships that have shaped my time at Dodge. I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to be part of this extraordinary community, and I look forward to seeing all the success that lies ahead for Dodge.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your support and for everything we’ve shared.

Warmly,
Jason Sanders
