Spring Break Camps (Registration Closed)

Registration for Spring Break Camps are closed. When you live in Minnesota, it's never too early to think about spring. Send your children on a fun-filled adventure to meet new friends and burn off energy. Campers have fun while gaining appreciation for nature by meeting live animals, building forts, and getting their hands dirty.

Application can be handed in, mailed, faxed to 651-455-2575 or email. Registration is first-come, first-served basis. Spots are only guaranteed once registration and payment are received. The deadline to register is
March 20.

Play hide and seek with the animals to learn about their tactics for staying hidden. Then practice your skills and channel your animal instincts in a games of camouflage and predator/prey.

Enjoy a day “down on the farm.” We’ll be busy having fun with all there is to do in the barn and chicken coop. We’ll help with feeding the animals, make a tasty treat and even jump in the hay.

Walk in the footsteps of Minnesota’s fur traders as you learn the skills of the voyageur. Strike a spark with flint and steel, compete in games of skill and strength and trade your wares at the Fort Dodge trading post.

Meet exciting characters and learn about their adventures as we read, explore, and try hands-on activities that will bring books to life. Bring your imagi-nation, your appetite, and your sense of adventure!

Spring is a great time to see all the cool animals at Dodge. Join us as we look up close at the behaviors of all sorts of animals in their natural habitats, in the live-animal lab and at the farm.

Grades 2-4              Thursday, April 6

All day long we'll navigate the nature center with maps, compasses and GPS. North, south, east, west, we'll explore to see what works the best.

Long ago dinosaurs ruled the Earth. Join us as we unravel clues about dinosaurs and meet some of their living relatives. We'll learn about dinosaur fossils and even reconstruct skeletons.

Other Information You Need To Know

WEATHER: Camps will not be cancelled due to inclement weather; activities will be adjusted for the safety of the children. Always dress campers to be comfortable in forecasted weather conditions.

STAFFING: Your camper will be safe with highly trained naturalists and volunteers. Grades K-1 ,ratio 1 to 10. Grades 2 -8 ,1 to 13.

ZERO TOLERENCE: DNC has the right to dismiss a camper without a refund for violating the no tolerance policty for physical and verbal violence. Dodge must remain a safe and friendly environment for all of our campers, students, and visitors.

FEES TO AVOID: All cancellation requests submitted before Sept. 30, 2016 will receive a refund minus $25 processing fee. No refunds will be given after Sept. 30, 2016. There is a $5 late pick-up fee for each 15 minute period, or fraction thereof, following stated pick-up time.
