Spend your Spring Break outdoors at one or all of Dodge Nature Center's day camps. The weather might be unpredictable, but the forecast shows a 100% chance of fun. Choose from the dates and themes for each grade level below. Scholarships are available.

Application can be handed in, mailed, faxed to 651-455-2575 or email. Registration is first-come, first-served basis. Spots are only guaranteed once registration and payment are received.

In the Maple Woods
Maple season is upon us. Help collect the sap and get the fire going to boil it down into syrup and sugar. Stories and snacks by the campfire, games in the woods, and sweet treats are all part of your day in the maple woods.

Lumber Jack and Jill
Experience the life of the famous loggers of Minnesota’s forests. Play lumberjack games, eat delicious lumberjack food, and use some of the tools these hardworking folks knew so well. Red flannel shirts are highly encouraged!

Survival Skills
Do you have what it takes to survive in the wild? Learn and practice important skills like shelter and fire building as well as basic outdoor medicine that may come in handy someday.

Scat-tastic
“It starts with an S and ends with a T. It comes out of you and it comes out of me.
Play games and explore the world of animal droppings! Dodge will teach you how to become an expert scat-detective. Investigate clues in the poo that will reveal what animal left that plop behind.

Nature's Superheroes
Bring your imagination as we create our own nature superheroes. Make costumes and practice your super powers amid the amazing landscapes of Dodge Nature Center.

Pancakes, Pizza and Pretzels
Grab an apron and get ready to create delicious food. Play games and explore the science of how cooking works. Please note: Children will be in contact with foods containing wheat, eggs, milk, etc. Please include a $3 materials fee for a total of $53.

One Bird, Two Bird, Red Bird, Blue Birds
Birds, birds, birds! Learn how to tell who is who and visit the places birds hang out. Have they started to build nests yet? See birds up close, create a play with bird puppets, and make bird crafts to take home.

Overnight Camp
Check-in: Wednesday, March 28 at 4 p.m.
Check-out: Thursday, March 29 at 9 a.m.

What happens in the woods at night at Dodge Nature Center? Spend the night and find out. Go on an owl prowl, have a cookout for supper, play night games and tell stories around a campfire. Bring your sleeping bag to camp inside Dodge’s education building next to the animal barn.

Pre-registration and pre-payment are required, by Friday, Oct. 13, 2017.
Cost per Day: $50

Other Information You Need To Know


WEATHER: Camps will not be cancelled due to inclement weather; activities will be adjusted for the safety of the children. Always dress campers to be comfortable in forecasted weather conditions.


STAFFING: Your camper will be safe with highly trained naturalists and volunteers. Grades K-1, ratio 1 to 10. Grades 2 -8 , ratio1 to 13.


ZERO TOLERENCE: DNC has the right to dismiss a camper without a refund for violating the no tolerance policy for physical and verbal violence. Dodge must remain a safe and friendly environment for all of our campers, students, and visitors.


FEES TO AVOID: Cancellation requests must be made at least two weeks prior to the start of camp to qualify for a refund.
All cancellations include a $25 processing fee per camp. No camp transfers are permitted.

*There is a $5 dollar late charge each 15 minutes after camp check-out ends at 3:15 p.m.
