Learn to snowshoe in fresh powder at Shepard Farm in Cottage Grove! Experience the joy of “floating” on snow with traditional wooden snowshoes. Hike through the wintry woods with naturalists to search for signs of active wildlife. Learn winter nature facts you can share with your friends and family. Beginners welcome and snowshoes provided!
This program is designed for ages 10 and up—children must be accompanied by an adult. The duration of this walk is around 1.5 hours at a moderate pace and travels one mile through winding, old-growth forest. Participants should dress in warm boots and clothing comfortable for cold temperatures and outdoor hiking.
