Media Permits

Posed and Commercial Photography, Film, and Videography

All photographers (professional or amateur) who conduct posed photography are required to apply for a permit. Nature photography is welcome without a permit. Any photos taken at Dodge Nature Center intended for sale or publication require permission with an applicable fee. Photography is not allowed on Dodge’s Shepard Farm in Cottage Grove at this time, but may be an option in the future.

Please apply for your permit in advance to avoid an additional fee and to allow us to confirm availability. You may apply for a single-day permit or an annual permit (good for one full year after your payment date).  Once your submission is received, we will send instructions for payment and email your permit. Businesses applying for an annual permit with more than one photographer must pay $10 for each additional person.

Once approved, your permit must be printed or accessible on your mobile device during your media session(s). Natural resources, farms, and other Dodge Nature Center property are not to be damaged, altered, or tampered with; gates must stay closed and barns cannot be entered.

Permit Fees:
Single-day Permit $50
Annual Permit $150
Additional fee for permits purchased less than two weeks in advance of photo shoot $25

The media permit includes access to the following nature destinations:
